Meeting the Moment: A Marketplace Model in Motion
Aosom started as a modest homegrown business focused on bike trailers, but quickly evolved into a major ecommerce player with global reach. Today, they serve customers across North America and Europe with a vast catalog that spans everything from pet supplies to patio furniture.
As the business scaled, they looked to diversify further by adding dropship vendors to supplement their already strong internal operations. But it didn’t take long for the logistics to get messy.
If suppliers didn’t provide up to date or well-formatted product data, Aosom was left to build their product listings manually. Manual tracking of order submission, too much trouble to warrant.
When handling everything manually, we had no human bandwidth for it. The upkeep was formidable.

Manual processes around product data, inventory syncing, and order tracking simply didn’t scale. The team found themselves spending more time managing vendors than actually selling products. Although Aosom was interested in expanding their catalog with dropshipping, they lacked the resources to embark on the adventure.
The Turning Point: Finding the Right Fit for Scale
Instead of “home-baking” a solution, the Aosom team went looking for a platform built for ecommerce automation, and Flxpoint checked every box.
We were missing dropship capabilities, and we weren’t going to home bake that ourselves. We wanted a solution that could be automated and would scale with us as we grow, that’s where Flxpoint comes in for us.

With Flxpoint, Aosom found a platform that didn’t just plug into their operations, it expanded what was possible.
Building a Catalog Without the Headaches
By integrating Flxpoint into their tech stack, Aosom now easily fills product niches they couldn’t cover with internal inventory alone. That flexibility has helped them build out new verticals and bring more SKUs online, without overwhelming their team.
Instead of parsing spreadsheets or manually entering listings, Flxpoint automation augments and pushes new products into Aosom’s channels quickly and cleanly.
Their workflow is now seamless. When a customer places an order, it moves through Oracle (their order management system), where the item is identified as dropship. The order is then sent to Flxpoint, and is routed to the right supplier, without extra hands involved.
A Foundation for Future Growth
What used to feel like an impossible task is now fully manageable. And better yet, scalable.
Aosom continues to expand its dropship program with the confidence that Flxpoint will support onboarding more vendors, routing more orders, and keeping everything in sync, automatically.
As they grow, their ecommerce infrastructure doesn’t have to be reinvented. It just keeps getting better.
