What is the Flxpoint MCP?
The Flxpoint MCP is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector that links your Flxpoint account to Claude or ChatGPT. Once it is connected, you can ask questions about your Flxpoint data in plain English inside your AI assistant, such as which sources have the most late shipments or why an order failed to route.
How do I connect the Flxpoint MCP to Claude?
In Claude, open Customize Connectors and add a custom connector by URL. Paste the Flxpoint MCP endpoint, https://app-backend.flxpoint.com/mcp, then log in to Flxpoint and authorize the connection. The connection uses OAuth, and you can manage or disconnect it at any time from Flxpoint.
Does it work with ChatGPT?
Yes. Add the Flxpoint MCP to ChatGPT as a custom connector using the same endpoint, https://app-backend.flxpoint.com/mcp, then log in to Flxpoint to authorize it.
Does it work with Claude Code?
Yes. You can use the Flxpoint MCP in standard Claude chats or within Claude Code.
Can the MCP change anything in my Flxpoint account?
No. The beta connector is read-only. It can pull data to provide answers and analysis, but it cannot create, edit or delete data, such as placing orders or updating inventory levels.
What data can it read?
It can search across orders, purchase orders and invoices, and retrieve data for sources, channels, shipment SLAs, source invoices and fulfillment requests. Access is scoped to your Flxpoint user permissions, and a built-in guide helps Claude understand Flxpoint terms like source and channel.
What can I ask it?
You can ask for reports that are not available in the standard Flxpoint screens, such as profitability by source for the last 30 days or which sources have the most late shipments against your SLA. You can ask why a specific order failed to route, or use the built-in /scorecard prompt to run a Source Performance Scorecard. Claude can also turn answers into charts.
What happens if it cannot answer my question?
If you ask something the connector cannot answer yet, the question is captured as a gap. The Flxpoint product team reviews these gaps to decide which data and tools to add next.

The beta is open to Flxpoint customers, and connecting requires a Flxpoint account. If you are not a customer yet, book a demo and we will set you up.
